I did mine at JK. It was a good experience. 2 pple told me I looked like a Korean actress after the surgery hehe, one was a Singaporean dr who knew about the surgery, the other was a random guy in the mall who asked me to do some promotional modelling/advertising work for his company's products. However, I actually sometimes feel uncomfortable with my new appearance, some days I like it and some days I feel a bit strange. I think this feeling that you're disconnected from your old self is actually quite common after surgery. I do feel happier as time goes on though. But u have to be prepared for it. Choose a reputable dr!! That's very impt. :)

Jatkoin vielä Purseblog sivuston tutkimista, jossa sivuston nimen mukaan myös keskustellaan laukuista ja niiden ulkonäöstä. Kauan sitten laitoin tähän keskusteluun hauskan kirjoituksen muistaakseni feministiltä, joka pohdiskeli sitä, että miksi hän ja monet muut naiset rahtaavat joka paikkaan suurta laukkua täynnä meikkejä ja kaikkea muuta, kun miehille riittää yleensä avaimet ja pari muuta taskuun mahtuvaa tavaraa. Eiköhän tässä ole selvästi kyse sukupuolten erilaisesta keskimääräisestä käyttäytymisestä, mutta naiset ovat esim. enemmän huolissaan siitä, että näyttävät hyviltä, joten laukussa pitää olla vähän meikkaamiseen liittyvää tavaraa mukana.

Sekarotuiset ovat kauniita väitteestä huolimatta nainen ei ole ollut tyytyväinen ulkonäköönsä, mutta tykkää sinisistä silmistään. Äkkiseltään ajateltuna on erikoista siniset silmät naisella, mutta syy tähän on tietenkin ruotsalainen ja kap verdeläinen, joka on ollut mulatti tai vaikka kokonaan eurooppalainen taustaltaan. Purseblog sivuston nenä aiheisesta keskustelusta tuli vastaan kommentteja, joissa kritisoidaan väitteitä kuinka aasialainen haluaisi tehdä itsestään ulkonäöltään valkoisen tai eurooppalaisen. Olen tästä kiistanalaisesta asiasta paljonkin kertonut, että myös osa aasialaisista myöntää haluavansa omata enemmän eurooppalaisille tyypillisemmän ulkonäön, mutta sitten on tietenkin ihmisiä, jotka ovat tästä eri mieltä. Tällaiset väitteet, että aasialainen haluaa enemmän eurooppalaisille tyypillisemmän ulkonäön perustuu osaltaan siihen, että eurooppalaisilla ilmenee yleisemmin tuollaista ulkonäköä, mitä kauneusleikkauksilla suurin piirtein tehdään ja se perustuu myös länsimaiseen kauneusihanteeseen, mutta siitä huolimatta eivät nämä aasialaiset yleensä näytä eurooppalaisilta. Voihan sitä myös sanoa sillä tavalla, että monet aasialaiset haluavat omata ulkonäön, joka on samanlainen kuin kauniilla suuremmat silmät omaavalla sirolla ja söpöllä aasialaisella naisella.
I don't get it either.. it's always "they're trying to look more white!" I think the look is great [and people can argue that I'm too warped by westernized beauty but I don't agree!] and people still look asian! I mean.. all those asian celebrities who had surgery.. even if its "western"ish features, they still look asian to me.. just more glamorous and elegant, most don't even look mixed/white at all. I think a smaller facial shape and larger eyes and thinner nose is just the more "global" ideal for looks but just so happen that not as many asians have these features! My two good friends have the "nose" and face shape and they didn't go through surgery! And I have plenty of asian friends with big eyes naturally [and none of them are mixed! Yhdysvalloissa tietenkin valkoiset ovat vielä toistaiseksi valtaväestöä ja tämän takia osaltaan vähemmistöön kuuluva voi haluta olla samaa porukkaa, eikä että häntä luullaan vähemmistöön kuuluvaksi. Kaikenlaisia syitä tässä varmasti onkin, että jos sitä on kiusattu ulkonäön takia pienenä, niin sekin voi vaikuttaa haluun muuttaa ulkonäköä, mutta on myös todennäköistä, että valtaväestön joukosta löytyy henkilöitä, jotka vastaavasti haluaisivat olla enemmän aasialaisia tai mustia, kuten mustien miesten kanssa pariutuvat valkoiset naiset.

my parents are asian but i dont identity with the asian culture at all, im not close to my parents. i dont speak/read/write korean or any asian languages, can't name any asian music/movie/tv show, etc. the only reason i am asian is because my parents are asian.

ive already had some surgeries and the changes have not been that much, i mean just double eyelids, and hairline lowering, i am pretty scared of surgeries in general so i wouldn't even dare do some surgeries that would make me look like a "freak"
jaw reduction is the worst surgery i would ever consider, i wouldnt do any other surgery that involves general anesthesia
i think the rhinoplasty, jaw reduction and losing weight would make me look more caucasian, maybe 25% cause i think with the rib rhinoplasty they want to raise my bridge a lot, a drastic change, and it won't look bad or like a "freak", maybe just a bit unusual like people won't know what ethnicity i am but i am fine with that.
its not that i only want to look caucasian. even if i didn't, i'd still get a lot of the same surgeries cause my face still has some problems with proportions even without wanting to look more caucasian. i think i will be satisfied with looking 50% caucasian, maybe that can be my goal. or maybe 25-50%, that is realistic enough i think.

I agree with kayrider 100%! I think your features looks ASIAN ASIAN and any amount of plastic surgery will not achieve the "causasian" features that you want. Although I am not a plastic surgeon I think you need a psychologist instead-you seem to have an identity crisis. I don't mean to be rude at all....it's just I hate to see someone invest so much money and suffer so much from recovery and it not being worth it.....with that being said I wish you the best in whatever choices you make.

i think alot of ppl in korea get plastic surgery to look more Caucasian simply because those are the features and looks that appeal to them, and that is what their perception of beauty is. having a higher bridge, pointy nose, bigger eyes, or small face.

Häneltä löytyy tällä hetkellä sivustolta 133 viestiä. En ole viitsinyt sivustolle rekisteröityä, jotta pääsisi katsomaan naisen kirjoituksia, mutta niitä löytyy myös Googlella.
Nainen tuo esille omaamansa itäaasialaisille tyypillisiä kasvonpiirteitä, kuten suuren leuan ja lättänät kasvot. Naisen mielestä nenä on possumainen ja uidessa menee vettä nenään. Nainen kertoo pitävänsä itseään valkoisena, mutta ongelmana ovat itäaasialaiset kasvot, joista aiheutuu myös stereotypioita. even without wanting to look more caucasian, i have really unproportional features. i have a *huge* mandible. probably bigger than like 98% of the population lol. like i have a huge flat face, even my brother told me this (and he said it in an innocent way like he was like 15 years old at the time and i asked him what he thought of my face, and he's like you have a huge flat face its like someone squash your face). and doctors always recommend a buccal fat removal. so its not like i *just* want to look caucasian, i seriously think that my features are out of proportions. and i have a pig nose. ill post a picture of my nose in a sec. and when i go swimming i always get water in my nose.Lähde
none of my friends care how i look, i mean i have both american and asian friends and i dont think it really matters to them, but it bothers me i guess. like i just want to feel closer to my identity and i feel weird appearing asian when i take pictures with people who aren't asian lol.
i can't consider myself white because i look asian (although i feel white i guess). i don't think someone who looks 100% asian looks can be "white" even if their personality is white unless they look somewhat white too. people see me as "that asian girl" and sometimes when i do business with people, they might think im greedy or something (just a stereotype) and i dont like that because im actually really generous and not greedy at all. but i i think it intimidates some people when i meet them in person. and i really think its how i look, because i dont get that feeling when i talk to people on the phone or email people.
like when i changed my name, and began using my new name more all over the place online and on the phone, people talked to me differently, i dont know its like they didn't feel intimidated by me and stuff. i run a website online and im a very approachable person but i think that having an asian name scared some people to approach me because they thought i wasn't friendly or something (i know its just a stereotype but i dont like it when people stereotype or judge me for being asian and they think that my character is bad or something). i dont know.

Katselin taas pitkästä aikaa Purseblog sivustoa, josta tuli vastaan hyvin kalliit kauneusleikkaukset tehnyt nainen, että puhutaan kymmenistä tuhansista dollareista ellei sitten nainen ole saanut alennusta, jos vaikka mainostaa yritystä. Ulkonäön perusteella nainen näyttäisi olevan afrikkalaistaustainen ja hän kertoo paljonkin mielenkiintoista tietoa kauneusleikkauksistaan joiden yhtenä tarkoituksena on ollut tehdä kasvoista feminiinisemmän näköinen.
Näihin naisten ulkonäköpaineisiin liittyen olen sellaista pohtinut, että aiheutuisiko osa siitä toisilta naisilta, koska usein noissa korealaisissa sivustoissa naiset ovat kertoneet kuinka heitä on lapsena kiusattu ulkonäön perusteella. Tuntuu jotenkin erikoiselta, että pojat kiusaisivat tyttöä vaikka varmasti sellaisia poikia löytyy, mutta eiköhän naisten tai tyttöjen keskuudessa ilmene varsinkin kiusaamista nättien pissisten toimesta, jotka tyypillisesti seurustelevat kovien tupakkaa polttavien poikien kanssa vai miten se menee.
2 jaw put me through so much pain but I knew I had to have it to be happy. It made such a big difference in my life. I feel more confident and beautiful because I ha this procedure. I look more feminine thanks to having this. Before, the large jawline and upper and lower jaws made me look so manly it's not even funny. I have to say though recovering from 2 jaw the first month or so is crazy an the swelling took 3 or 4 months to go down and 6 to go down completely.
